Notes From the Underground

No, I'm not going review Dostoevsky. Though... hmm... I'll have to file that one away for later.

I wanted to share a letter I received Friday night. It was in response to one of the Non-Obits (if you missed last week's you can jump to it here: Non-Obits) and specifically to George Newbern.

Here is the letter:

hey TS,

I'm sorry to inform you, but I am still currently BUSTING my ass trying to support a wife and 3 kids with acting work. I've been doing it for over 24 years, far longer than my competition. And yes, it sucks that I haven't been able to get something to stick in a big way. But, hey, it's not like I can suddenly be a doctor.

Pound the pavement for a while in LA with 6 million other actors who want to kill you. It's fun! And SO easy.

george

And here is my response:

Dear "George,"

It was not my intention to offend you, but seriously, did YOU even remember you existed?
Anyways thanks for stopping by my humble blog.

~TS

P.S. I loved you in Double Switch.

I have no idea who sent the letter, but at any rate I thought it was hysterical and felt I had to share.

  1. TS, did he e-mail you?! That is awesome. I loved him in Paramedics. That was his peak for me. I hope he has a sense of humor because if you didn't like him at all why even mention him in even parody. I saw him in the newest SAW and was like "dude, George Newbern".

I wish he would have e-mailed me. I want to ask him if Christopher McDonald is really a dick or does he just play one all the time in the movies. George, if you're reading this, let me know!

  2. LOL Macdonald is either a prick or the greatest actor of all time.

  3. That is awesome ... now I may have to create a fake email just to email random bloggers.
