7 Word Weekend Movie Review: Bridesmaids, Priest, and Blogger blows

New Movie Releases Reviewed in 7 Words Each

Everything Must Go (limited) - But I gave that stuff to you!

Preist - I hope he kills Edward and Jacob.

Bridesmaids - Yeah... I'll watch anything with Chris O'Dowd.

How'd everyone enjoy the little meltdown blogger had? I was going to post this this morning but it disappeared from my drafts. They still haven't restored yesterday's post, but what can ya' do? Onto the movies...

When he's not doing some cruddy comedy, I like Will Ferrell. In the past I've talked about his hit and miss ratio on comedies. Drama is a different thing altogether. He's done a few of them and I tend to think he's a pretty good actor. Everything Must Go looks like it has the potential to be a really interesting film.

Trailer:

I'm not a mega fan of Paul Bettany, but he's one of those those actors that always adds something to every film he's in. What he brings to a vampire slaying priest, I have no idea, but it's bound to be awesome. I know Priest is probably one of those movies that will be low on the rewatch value, but after the deluge of happy vampires, I'm ready for a little monster madness.

I've heard nothing but good things about Bridesmaids, and while I doubt I'll get out to see it in theaters, I do look forward to catching it on DVD. Hilarious cast including, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, and yes, Chris O'Dowd. I'm still waiting for him to get big over here. He's just too brilliant of a comedic actor.

I had planned on writing a review, but blogger shut down before I could get to it. Instead I'll pose this highly philosophical question: Anyone else notice when Katy Perry talks she sounds like the original Peppermint Patty?

Have a great weekend everyone!

  3. Ha ha...I'll have to pay more attention to Katy Perry next time she opens her mouth.

Will Farrell just doesn't do it for me anymore.  He's too predictable.
