How would you best describe someone?

Rules: Give a definition to what your name would mean if it were an adjective that one day was put in the dictionary because of you.

Example: Hendrik - A particular brand of insanity marked by a peculiar love of Slurpees.
Used in a sentence: The way he flipped out and started throwing eggs at a nun when she wouldn't give him a frosty beverage was totally hendrik.

Your turn. How would you describe others?

  1. May I describe myself? Oh good.

Marlene - a mean (but effective) farting machine with an overzealous appetite for onions (which might explain the former).

Used in a sentence: I hate it when my hubby pulls a "Marlene" in bed and holds the covers over my head. Not fun.

  2. Jesse: A slight mistake.

Oops, you sorta Jesse’d that project, let me help fix it.

  3. Ally - spazz

Used in a sentence, "Whenever I'm around guys, I Ally-out."

  4. Jackson - 1. (adj.) A person who is easy to prank. 2. (verb) To pull a big prank on someone. 3. (noun) A monster prank used in retaliation.

In a sentence: My neighbor Jackson is such a Jackson that I often try to Jackson him, but I always fear it will only result in a Jackson.

  5. Oh, I can't believe how close I was to getting that right. It was almost cool, but I totally made a "Jesse".
Jackson definition #1 was supposed to be an adjective, and I made it a noun. Idiot. I feel so "Hendrik". Oh, well. Sometimes I'm just an "Ally." Hey TS, when you make your official dictionary, straighten that out for me, will you?

  8. Betty--Bossy

She was all Betty about the report, wasn't she?

    I like a woman who's a little Betty.

    How'd I do?

  9. heighton - the desire for 'little people' who have appeared specifically on the TLC network to be taller and who try to achieve this goal through the use of voodoo or some other form of mysticism or sorcery.

"Bishop Sunday killed a chicken to heighton the little Chocolateer but according to witnesses no visible change in his stature occured."

I know Seinfeld used the term 'heightoning' to describe little people who put lifts or other such devices in their footware to appear taller.

  10. Hmm, I had trouble thinking witty. So I will go with..

    Jerry: Re-do

Sentence: I totally thought I would be longer then that, I promise to do better on the "Jerry".

    Fun post!

  11. Does it have to be an adjective? I'm pretty sure Amy is an adverb (descriptive of Jones, which is clearly a verb, you guys).

Amy - to do something with with such vigour and enthusiasm that you inevitably screw it up.

"You totally poured that juice all amy. Now it's all over the floor!"
