March Madness for the Movies

In honor of March Madness, we have decided to draw up a few brackets of our own to determine—not basketball winners—but winners of completely arcane and unrelated things. For this first set of easily-printable brackets (you’re welcome), it’s up to you to decide which movie bad guy—who didn’t die in the end—deserved to die more than other bad guys. Obviously this comes with a bit of a SPOILER ALERT, so be careful. Also, let us know how your results turn out. Now, go and enjoy this free (you’re welcome, again) bracket to help you reach your conclusion:

  1. Your name is Sebastian Black?

I thought you were TS Hendrik!

  2. @Maria, Sebastian has been a contributor to the site for quite awhile, he just used to go under the name Reputation@Stake.

  3. Oh, and I'm going with Madame Medusa. Though you've got a flaw in your otherwise brilliant bracket. John Doe does die at the end of Se7en

  4. That's a tough call. I'm going with Nurse Ratched. Keyser Soza? No way! He was the man!

  5. John Doe dies. *sniff sniff* You should really give a spoiler alert for stuff like that TS.

Seriously, though, I originally made this bracket of bad guys that won in the end (which Doe does) and when I changed it to "didn't die" I kind of forgot to change that one. Oops. Thanks TS.

  6. I think John Doe should die twice.

  7. Prince humperdink and Villeforte.

Villeforte wins as I would rather cut off Humperdink's feet. Below the ankle. he will have stumps available to use within six months. Then his hands, at the wrists. They heal somewhat quicker. Five months is a fair average. Next his nose. No smell of dawn for him. Followed by his tongue. Deeply cut away. Not even a stump left. And then his left eye.

TS: "And then his right eye, and then his ears, and shall we get on with it?"

Wrong! His ears he keeps, so that every shriek of every child shall be his to cherish—every babe that weeps in fear at his approach, every woman that cries 'Dear God, what is that thing?' will reverberate forever with his perfect ears.
